Law in the Headlines: Exploring Current Legal Controversies, with Leora Harpaz

In this class, Leora will discuss the oral argument before the Supreme Court in Trump v. United States, the presidential immunity case. She will also review the argument in a second recent case, Moyle v. United States. That case involves a possible conflict between Idaho’s strict anti-abortion law and a federal law which requires hospitals that participate in the Medicare program and have emergency rooms to provide “necessary stabilizing treatment,” including abortions. Leora welcomes your suggestions for other subjects you’d like to hear about.
