What Do You Think? Discussion, with Bill Goldman

What Do You Think? Discussion, with Bill Goldman
January 30, 2024 @ 2:45-4:00pm

This course is a group discussion of current events, focusing on significant economic, social, and political issues in the news. A few key articles from major newspapers and journals will be sent to students in advance to read so we can come to talk about our views on the subjects. We want to hear what you think! The articles for this week are a review of efforts to control climate change that questioning if we will turn away from fossil fuels on time (from last week); an editorial about a new debate on the old subject of equity and fairness in the US; and an observation that even as war rages in Gaza, Israel's Arabs are feeling more Israeli.
