What Do You Think? Discussion, with Bill Goldman

What Do You Think? Discussion, with Bill Goldman
February 6, 2024 @ 2:45-4:00pm

This course is a group discussion of current events, focusing on significant economic, social, and political issues in the news. A few key articles from major newspapers and journals will be sent to students in advance to read so we can come to talk about our views on the subjects. We want to hear what you think! The articles for this week are on the view that the US-China relationship is back on track; a comment that the dream of cheap, ad-free streaming TV is dead; and an opinion that non-state actors are playing an increasingly significant role in international politics and control. Bill looks forward to discussing them with you.

  • The dream of cheap, ad-free streaming TV is dead
  • The U.S.-China relationship is back on track. Let’s hope it stays that way
  • Welcome to the era of the non-state actor
