Great Rom-Coms: Discussion of What’s Up, Doc, with Bobbie Stein and Judy Langer

Some of the most popular and beloved movies are romantic comedies. Meeting cute, from hostility to love, from friendship to coupling (with some very memorable lines) – they're all there! We’ll talk about some that continue to be on top over the decades, for good reasons – they're very enjoyable, and they show us something about love (in their own special way). On Valentine’s Day (how appropriate!), we’ll focus on What’s Up, Doc? with Barbra Streisand and Ryan O’Neal. Directed by Peter Bogdanovich, it’s his tribute to Bringing Baby. Funny, exciting and clever. Bobbie and Judy ask that you watch the movie in advance if possible so we can hear what you think. They'll show the movie trailer, and talk about the themes, the reviews, the fascinating backstories of the filming and people involved.
