What Do You Think? Discussion, with Bill Goldman

This course is a group discussion of current events, focusing on significant economic, social, and political issues in the news. A few key articles from major newspapers and journals will be sent to students in advance to read so we can come to talk about our views on the subjects. We want to hear what you think! The articles for this week are a description of how warfare has changed based on the lessons from the Ukrainian war; a historical review of settler colonialism and its relevance for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict; and an argument that there is large number of Israelis who want to change the Netanyahu government but do not have a simple path to do it.
